Creating Opportunities for the Next Generation

At the Knox Family Foundation (KNOX), we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Guided by our belief that Kids Need Opportunities to eXcel, our programs are designed to support children and youth by providing access to education, leadership development, mentorship, and essential resources that help them succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Many young people face barriers that limit their access to opportunities that support academic success, personal growth, and community engagement. Through our programs, the Knox Family Foundation works to remove those barriers by providing supportive environments where youth can develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to build brighter futures.

Supporting Academic Success

Education is one of the most important foundations for a child’s future. Through the LEARN Education & Enrichment pillar, KNOX provides students with access to academic support, tutoring, and enrichment opportunities that help strengthen learning and build confidence. Our programs are designed to complement classroom education by offering additional support in areas such as homework assistance, skill development, and learning activities that encourage creativity and critical thinking. By helping students strengthen their academic foundations, we prepare them for long-term educational success.

Developing Youth Leaders

Young people have the ability to create meaningful change within their communities when they are given the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Through the LEAD Youth Leadership Development pillar, KNOX provides programs that help youth build confidence, communication skills, and civic awareness. Leadership workshops, mentorship opportunities, and community engagement activities help young people explore their potential as leaders while learning how to work collaboratively and contribute positively to their communities.

Supporting Stability for Youth and Families

Children thrive when their basic needs are met and their families have access to stable support systems. Through the LIVE Food & Housing Stability pillar, KNOX works with community partners to help ensure that families have access to essential resources that promote stability and well-being. By connecting families to food assistance, housing support, and community services, we help create environments where young people can focus on learning, personal development, and achieving their goals.

Promoting Equity and Opportunity

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a community that values fairness, inclusion, and opportunity. Through the LIFT Equity & Social Justice pillar, KNOX provides youth with opportunities to learn about civic engagement, leadership, and advocacy. By encouraging young people to participate in conversations about community issues and social equity, we empower them to become thoughtful leaders who contribute to building stronger and more equitable communities.

Strengthening Family and Community Support

The success of young people is closely connected to the strength of their families and communities. Through the LINK Family & Community Support pillar, KNOX helps connect families to resources, services, and partnerships that support long-term success. By strengthening family support systems and encouraging community collaboration, we help ensure that youth have the guidance and resources they need to thrive.
