Youth Health & Wellness
The KNOX LIGHT program focuses on promoting the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of young people by creating opportunities for youth to develop healthy lifestyles and build resilience. Recognizing that overall wellness plays a critical role in a young person’s ability to succeed academically and personally, the program provides engaging activities that support both mental health and physical fitness. Through wellness education, physical activity, and supportive community environments, LIGHT encourages youth to prioritize their health while developing positive habits that support long-term well-being.
The program incorporates activities such as exercise, yoga, mindfulness practices, and other wellness-focused experiences that help youth strengthen their bodies while learning strategies to manage stress and maintain emotional balance. In addition to physical activities, LIGHT provides wellness education and mentorship that helps young people understand the importance of mental health, self-care, and healthy decision-making.
KNOX LIGHT also creates safe and supportive spaces where youth can openly discuss challenges, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. Flagship Program: KNOX LIGHT Youth Wellness Initiative
